One of the most common and early signs of ADHD is forgetfulness. Prepared with ADHD tend to be very forgetful at most times with even the most activities of the day. Even the chores they were supposed to do they may fail to remember. School going children may most times forgets to do their homework and assignments and thus have trouble with the teachers. At most times, people with this disorder forget where they put things and even lose them easily. Children with this disorder often lose their items for example toys.
Another symptom that occurs frequently is inability to pay attention. You will find that small things and activities happening around them easily distracts them and is not keen to detail. They can therefore not pay attention to people talking for a long period of time and lose interest. These people at therefore likely to make careless mistakes at work and in school work for children. The speed and ability of learning of a person is reduced. There would be disorganization in one’s work and way of doing things and one would be known for this.
Hyperactivity is also one common sign. These people tend to be excessively active. They seem to be restless and cannot be at one place for quite some time. These children tend to be very playful, run around and walk aimlessly. People with ADHD find it difficult to do quiet tasks for example such children would not prefer bullying quiet games. You will find such people frequently fidgeting and cannot sit still.
You will find people with ADHD being very impulsive. They can act quickly and most times without thinking. If you react in a negative manner, this may be very dangerous and even have serious consequences. This affects one’s ability to make sober decisions and react appropriately when faced with situations.
Common in people with ADHD is emotional instability. Their emotions tend to differ and instantaneously change. Many times when you have problems managing that anger and inappropriately throw tantrums. Therefore, they find it difficult to put their emotions under control. If you do not understand them, it should therefore become really difficult to deal with such people.
